Boxer Vijender Singh joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. The 38-year-old had joined the Congress in 2019. The Olympian had unsuccessfully contested the 2019 general elections from South Delhi constituency, losing out to the incumbent BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri.
