Boosting Consumption Is Valid Concern: Arvind Subramanian

Former Chief Economic Adviser Arvind Subramanian spoke to NDTV's Dr Prannoy Roy about the economic slowdown in the country. Mr Subramanian said that it was important to cut tax rates in order to boost consumption. He said that in order to do that it's imperative to follow effective programmes like Universal Basic Income and expanded programmes like PM Kisan scheme, which are far more equitable.
