Three-time Congress MLA Vijayadharani resigned her position and joined the BJP recently in Tamil Nadu's Kanyakumari, where the party has a better presence in the state. Prime Minister Modi will address a public meeting here today. NDTV's Sam Daniel caught up with the former Congress lawmaker seen as the BJP's potential candidate for Kanyakumari. Grappling without a major ally after the AIADMK's exit, Vijayadharani said the BJP can get stronger in the state even without the support of other parties.
