BJP Leaders Meet Delhi Lt Governor, Seeks Probe Into Discom Row
A Delhi BJP delegation met the Lieutenant Governor and gave him a memorandum demanding investigation in alleged financial mismanagement in power distribution companies or discoms in the national capital. The BJP has alleged "large-scale financial mismanagement" by discoms and demanded an audit by the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG). However, defending the companies, the Delhi government said the discoms "have year after year been rated the best in the country". The Delhi government led by the Aam Aadmi Party said BJP's goal was to "gain control, hand resources over to their industrialist 'friends', and make ordinary citizens pay the price."
