Bihar Election News | Tej Pratap Yadav, Ravi Kishan Meet, Amit Shah In Seemanchal, Tejashwi On PK

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, speaking exclusively to NDTV from Bihar’s Purnia, exuded confidence that the NDA will sweep the state elections, claiming the turnout and crowds at rallies prove strong public support. Campaigning for NDA candidates, Shah said the alliance could win over 160 seats, stressing that people want development, not a return to what he called the Opposition’s “old misrule.” A new report by the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) reveals that more than half of Bihar’s registered but unrecognised political parties have failed to disclose their financial details for 2023–24, violating mandatory transparency norms. Of the 275 parties reviewed, 163 did not upload audit or donation reports, and over 100 of them had contested the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections. A surprise encounter between Janshakti Janata Dal founder Tej Pratap Yadav and BJP MP Ravi Kishan at Patna airport has set off political chatter in poll-bound Bihar. The two were seen sharing a friendly exchange, prompting speculation about a possible new alignment. NDTV's Shubh Bhardwaj brings you the details.
