As Assam commemorates the centenary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhupen Hazarika, the Ministry of Shipping has embarked on a special symbolic voyage titled “Bistirna Parore.” This journey traverses the mighty Brahmaputra from Sadiya to Dhubri. Union Minister of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways, Sarbananda Sonowal, along with Dr. Hazarika's family, participated in the voyage, which also hosted NDTV onboard. This initiative serves as a heartfelt tribute to the legendary singer-composer on his 100th birth anniversary.
