Bharti mulls bid for S Africa's MTN

Bharti Group CMD Sunil Mittal may soon be ringing the African continent, as he takes a decision to go ahead and bid for MTN and why not because whoever controls MTN will be the telecom czar of the African continent.MTN's shares have risen 5.2 per cent in the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, the highest in 14 years, on news that India's largest private sector telecom company Bharti is planning to bid for the $35.6 billion telecom giant.
