Yakub Memon will hang today as scheduled for his role in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts, ruled the Supreme Court at 5 am. For the first time ever, a hearing was held in the top court's premises in the middle of the night. Three judges heard a last-minute petition that said Memon should not be executed because his mercy petition was rejected in a rush.
