Arunachal Village Honours IAF Corporal Tage Hailyang on Pahalgam Attack Anniversary

Ziro in Arunachal Pradesh observed an emotional first martyrdom anniversary of Indian Air Force Corporal Tage Hailyang, one of the 26 victims of the Pahalgam terror attack. A memorial statue was inaugurated at Rakhe Lembo in his native Tajang village, Lower Subansiri district, with family members, local leaders, and residents paying tribute to the fallen air warrior. The Pahalgam attack, which took place on April 22, 2025, in Baisaran Valley in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district, saw armed terrorists open fire on civilians and tourists, turning a peaceful meadow into a site of tragedy. The ceremony in Arunachal stands as a solemn reminder of sacrifice and a community’s effort to keep the memory of its brave son alive.
