The Surrogacy Regulation Bill, approved by the cabinet earlier this year and introduced in the Lok Sabha last month, seeks to prohibit commercial surrogacy. Some are in favour of this ban while many are against, especially foreigner couples. In order to complete their family, couples used to fly to India and spend lakhs.
