Anthropologist Triloknath Pandit On Recovering American’s Body From Sentinelese

83-year-old Triloknath Pandit was 56 when he made contact with the reclusive Sentinelese tribe of North Sentinel Island where a 27-year-old American was allegedly killed last week. The legendary anthropologist also met with hostility managed to break some ice with gifts of metal and coconut. But he recalls the Sentinelese were wary. Sensing that, he withdrew. He says he there is no formula for recovering the body of John Allen Chau, the American killed on the island this month. Professor Pandit says if the family does not insist on the body being retrieved, it may be best to let things be.
