Andhra Pradesh School Horror: Grandfather Of Class 10 Student Attacked With Chainsaw Speaks To NDTV

NDTV speaks exclusively to Mudaga Katamaiya, the grandfather of a Class 10 student injured in a chainsaw attack inside a school in Anantapur. Two girls were injured in the incident. Katamaiya says the family had no knowledge of the accused’s alleged one-sided feelings for his granddaughter and that he had never threatened them or given any warning before the attack. The student is now out of danger, though further surgeries are expected as her treatment continues. Katamaiya has demanded that the police take the strictest action against the accused. He also said the government is providing financial assistance to the family as they seek justice for the students.
