Anbumani Ramadoss: “ECI Has Recognized Me as PMK Chief; No Setback for Party"

PMK President Anbumani Ramadoss has dismissed concerns over the party’s ongoing leadership tussle, asserting that the Election Commission of India has officially recognized him as the party chief and allotted him the Mango symbol. In an interview with NDTV, he said the internal conflict has not weakened PMK ahead of the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly election. Despite months of factional disputes within the party, Anbumani insisted there is “no setback” and confirmed that an alliance decision will be announced soon. PMK, which draws significant MBC support, now faces the challenge of proving its electoral strength as it prepares for 2026.
