Amul Vs Nandini: Utterly, Bitterly, Political Duel
The Amul vs Nandini issue, which sparked controversy ahead of the 2023 election, is back in Karnataka. The Siddaramaiah government has been criticised by the BJP and the JDS for allowing Gujarat-based dairy brand Amul to open kiosks at 10 Metro stations in Bengaluru. Amul was granted approval to set up the kiosks by the Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited, which had floated a tender for this purpose. But the opposition has said the state should have given those 10 kiosks to the Karnataka Milk Federation-run Nandini brand instead. How will this play out? NDTV's Marya Shakil discusses.
