Al Qaeda Hails FlyDubai Co-Pilot Al-Hammami, Calls The Aircraft A “Zionist UAE Plane”
Al Qaeda’s Yemen branch has reportedly hailed Omani FlyDubai co-pilot Hammam al-Hammami, who is accused of attacking the captain and attempting to take control of an Israel-bound flight. The group reportedly described the aircraft as a “Zionist UAE plane” and linked the incident to 9/11, but has not claimed responsibility for the attack or declared allegiance to Al-Hammami. Meanwhile, a Saudi magazine report details his aviation career, alleged extremist material found in 2024 and unanswered questions surrounding his reported time in Syria.
