Airlines seek policymakers' support
Indian carriers clearly look trapped between high growth and massive losses, thanks to increasing crude rate topped with high duty structure on turbine fuel. But now airline want to pass on this cost burden to passengers. Airlines contend that If ATF prices go up by about 5 per cent, they will be forced to hike the fuel surcharge.
