Talent development and IT training firm NIIT Ltd posted a Rs 50 lakh profit in the third quarter ended December 2012, as against a loss of Rs 16.9 crore in the same period a year ago although revenues have dropped slightly to Rs 232.7 cr. Vijay K Thadani, CEO at NIIT Ltd tells NDTV Profit that Q3 is traditionally a weak quarter because of school and college holidays and mid-term exams. Despite that, the company has added 135 schools in Q3 and placements have gone off well, he adds.
