Experts now say that even 70 per cent immunity in the population isn't high enough to resist the spread of the Delta variant. A recent study in The Lancet says, "With the elevated transmissibility of circulating variants, vaccination coverages as high as 90% in adults might be necessary to fully relax control measures towards the end of 2021."
