Five seers who visited Kairana in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday have rubbished a BJP leader's allegation of a "Hindu exodus" from the Muslim-dominated town. The seers visited Kairana at the request of the state's ruling Samajwadi Party, days after a team of BJP lawmakers went to the town and backed their colleague Hukum Singh, who had earlier this month put out a list of 346 families that he claimed were Hindus driven out of the town.
