Tens of thousands of people have been evacuated from the Reno area in Nevada as the fast-moving Hawk Fire reached the outskirts of the city. Officials said around 42,000 residents were displaced or under active evacuation orders, while another 45,000 were told to be prepared to leave. The wildfire has burned around 13,000 acres and injured three civilians and three first responders. Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo declared a state of emergency and deployed National Guard resources to support firefighting and rescue operations.
