2G 'Loot' vs 5G 'Haul'
In 2010, the BJP alleged that 2G spectrum is a scam. The CAG had said that the 'scam' had resulted in a presumptive loss of Rs 1.76 lakh crore. In 2017, a Delhi court acquitted all the accused. The court said the CBI failed miserably in proving the charges. Cut to the 5G spectrum auction, the opposition is saying that it is a scam. The government refutes the claim and says that only a portion of the spectrum has been sold. The opposition asks how can superior technology be sold for a low amount (Rs 1.50 lakh crore)?
