Ghaziabad Food News | 10 Quintals of Rasgullas Found in Unhygienic Conditions in Ghaziabad

Ahead of Raksha Bandhan and Krishna Janmashtami, Ghaziabad's Food Department intensified its crackdown on food adulteration with raids in Modinagar. Officials found around 10 quintals of chhena rasgullas allegedly being manufactured and stored in unhygienic conditions, with insects and flies reportedly found in some products. Officials also alleged the use of starch and a chemical identified as sodium formaldehyde sulfoxylate to whiten paneer. The affected food products were destroyed, while four samples were collected and sent for laboratory testing. The action followed complaints of adulteration in chhena, paneer, mawa, cakes and ghevar.
