10-Foot-Long Burmese Python Rescued From West Bengal's Jalpaiguri
Officials of the Dabgram forest range under the Baikunthpur forest division rescued a Burmese python measuring at least 10 feet on Sunday. The python had taken shelter at an almirah factory near Thakurtala in the Rajganj block of Jalpaiguri district. The incident drew a crowd for several hours. Local residents contacted the officers of the nearby Dabgram forest range to safely handle the snake. A team from the forest department arrived at the site and successfully rescued the python.
