Iran War | "10 Days of War Cost EU €3 Billion in Fossil Fuel Imports": European Union

The European Union says the ongoing Iran war has already cost European taxpayers billions in rising energy prices. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen told lawmakers that gas prices have surged 50% and oil prices 27% since the conflict began, adding around €3 billion in fossil fuel import costs in just 10 days. She warned that returning to Russian energy supplies would be a "strategic blunder" and urged the bloc to stay focused on renewable and nuclear energy sources to reduce dependence.
