Two entrepreneurs in the UAE have offered their support to the two young children of an Indian nurse, who died after contracting Nipah virus from patients in Kerala. The Abu Dhabi-based entrepreneurs also hailed Lini Puthussery for her "heroic sacrifice" in the line of duty.

Athlete-turned-daily wager Santhi Soundarajan gets ministry's helping hand

The grant was made from the National Welfare Fund for Sportspersons to Santhi, who had won a silver medal at the 2006 Doha Asian Games. The medal was later withdrawn as she was not found eligible to compete in female category because of female hyperandrogenism.
