Emphasising that SpiceJet's future now looks secure with a restructuring process underway, top executive Sanjiv Kapoor has said the difficult period created by some "legacy issues" is over for the carrier.

In an interview to NDTV this morning, S.L. Narayanan, the group CFO of Sun, downplayed reports that a sale of airline was in the offing. Mr Maran quit Kal Airways to only reduce the number of directorships he holds, Mr Narayanan said, adding that potential stake sale talks are not even at an exploratory stage.

The stock markets opened flat with an upward bias today, in line with the trend all of this week as uncertainty around the Winter Session of Parliament hit sentiment.
