A NeuRRAM chip, or a neuromorphic chip, has been created by scientists in order to run AI applications by performing computations directly in memory. The chip does not require a network connection to the cloud to do so and consumes a small amount of energy. The newly discovered chip may allow for AI usage across a range of edge devices.
