'Welcome Modi' -- Echoes Houston's NRG Stadium Ahead Of PM's Arrival For The "Howdy, Modi!" Event
A cultural programme began at 'Howdy, Modi' event in Houston's NRG stadium, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address over 50,000 Indian-Americans. US President Donald Trump is also scheduled to speak at the event.

A 90-minute music, dance and multimedia show featuring as many as 400 artistes pervaded the NRG stadium in Houston on Sunday. -
The mega-event commenced with a rendition of Gurbani by the members of the Guru Nanak Society of Greater Cincinnati at the stadium. -
Men and women in different attires from different parts of India, including Punjab, Maharashtra and Gujarat, gathered for the three-hour event. -
Performers in traditional costumes presented songs and dances, keeping the crowd glued. -
More than 1,000 Gujaratis from Houston prepared for a mega 'dandiya', a traditional Gujarati dance, to welcome the Prime Minister for the event. -
The beating of drums, cheering and shouts of "Modi, Modi" went up from the crowd. "The energy in the stadium is palpable as the crowd awaits Prime Minister Modi's address," TIF tweeted ahead of the event that has the theme 'Shared Dreams Brighter Futures'.
