Delhi was brought to a standstill for the second time in a week when heavy showers on Monday evening led to water-logging in several areas, resulting in traffic snarls.
The rain did bring some relief from the scorching heat but the traffic was moving at snail's pace. Many office-goers were stuck in traffic for hours.

The downpour was not only a nightmare to those stuck in the traffic chaos but also people in hospital. One of the Capital's best hospitals, Apollo hospital was flooded when water entered the VIP waiting area.

The rain affected some of the most unlikeliest of places: Apollo hospital. After about an hour of the deluge, the rain water made its way inside the hospital building. water also entered the elevator area.

The impact of rain was such that water flowed in front of an eatery inside the hospital forcing it to be shut down. A popular eatery joint had to be closed after its roof caved in.

Earlier on July 7,a brief spell of rain saw many parts of the national capital getting waterlogged within minutes. The rain, which drenched the Capital in the evening.
