Day 9: Breakthrough in sight?
Today is the seventh day of Anna Hazare's fast, but the 74-year-old shows no sign of debility as he continues to build pressure on the Government, rejecting the request for four months to pass the Lok Pal Bill in Parliament, insisting that it be done by August 30.

As Anna Hazare's hunger strike approaches the early hours of its tenth day, he said that there was nothing wrong with his health and expressed his gratitude for the support.

Post talks with the Government, earlier this evening, Kiran Bedi said, "We are back to square one which is the drafting stage. They have given no commitment to Anna."
She further added, "As regards his breaking the fast they said its upto us how we get it done." -
Even as Day 9 of Anna Hazare's battle against corruption comes to a close, the 74 year old refuses to end his fast.
The team of doctors say all reports normal, after conducting a regular check on Anna's vitals at 8:00 pm. -
Dr Naresh Trehan, who heads the team of doctors monitoring Anna's health said his blood pressure and heart rate were stable. The medical team will re-examine Anna later tonight.
