Baby elephant rescued by army from water
A trapped wild elephant cub was rescued by Indian army personnel on Tuesday after it fell into a water reservoir tank near Siliguri in West Bengal.

A herd of wild elephants was crossing the Bengdubi army cantonment area when the baby elephant fell into the tank. -
The army cantonment area is some 25 kms from Siliguri. -
Army personnel of 16 Field Ammunition Depot along with officials from the Mahananda wildlife sanctuary joined forces to save the animal. -
Luckily for the elephant, army men came to his rescue. -
Members of the the 16 Field Ammunition Depot were called into action with staff from the elephant squad of Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary.
