Nanda's last journey: family, friends bid her goodbye

The funeral of actress Nanda was held in Mumbai on March 25. The Gumnaam star died at home aged 75.

Among the Bollywood insiders who gathered to say farewell to the star was writer Salim Khan, a close friend of Nanda. The actress was known to have been on intimate terms with the Khans, especially Salim Khan's second wife, actress and Nanda's Gumnaam co-star Helen.

Also present from the Khan family were Salim Khan's first wife Sushila Charak and daughter Alvira Khan Agnihotri.

Yesteryear actress Shashikala bid her friend and Kanoon co-star a final farewell.

The grieving family of Nanda is seen at the funeral. She is survived by two siblings - Marathi film director Jaiprakash Karnataki and actor Jayshree Talpade.

TV host Tabassum was at the funeral to pay her last respects to Nanda. Nanda and Tabassum began their careers as child stars.
