Tilakwadi in South Mumbai might be the last place one would expect the stars to visit , but Bollywood stars Deepika Padukone and Neil Nitin Mukesh arrived at the small chal to promote their new movie Lafangey Parindey. -
The residents of Tilakwadi, where the character Pinky Palkar (played by Deepika) is born, were delighted to meet the two stars. -
Lafangey Parindey is a movie set in the gritty , dark streets of Mumbai and revolves around the love and struggle of two youngsters, played by Deepika and Neil. -
The movie is an unusual love story between Nandu ( Neil) and Pinky (Deepika) whose path to love and success together is paved by friendship, hope, determination and heartbreak . -
The two actors interacted with crowds on a very personal level, doing justice to the movie's theme. The residents surely loved them. -
The film's trailer asks `What price will they have to pay for love?' as he teaches her how to fight and she teaches him how to love. -

Deepika Padukone plays the role of a blind girl Pinky Palkar in the movie who is ‘born to fly'. -

Reportedly the actress refused to use body –doubles for the role.Neil has also performed some daring stunts in the film. -
Deepika is seen in an action avtar. She rides bikes and does daredevil stunts. -
Neil Nitin Mukesh plays the role of Nandu Kamtekar, known as one-shot Nandu for his expertise in the boxing arena. -
He pummels his opponents in the ring blindfolded. -

Deepika and Neil laugh along with the others. The movie holds a mass appeal because of its relatable storyline.
