Big B, Rishi Kapoor, Aishwarya at Prayer Meet for Aadesh Shrivastava

Bollywood celebrities attended a prayer meet for music composer-singer Aadesh Shrivastava at the ISKCON temple in Mumbai on September 8. Mr Shrivastava, who composed music for over a 100 Bollywood films, died on September 5 after a five-year-long battle with cancer. He was 51.

Amitabh Bachchan, who worked with the composer in films like Baghban and Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham arrived with daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

Aishwarya was dressed in pristine white.

Madhuri Dixit Nene, for whose 1990 film Sailaab Mr Shrivastava provided the background score, came with her doctor husband Sriram Nene.

Actor Rishi Kapoor arrived to say a final farewell.

Classical singer Pandit Jasraj too was present.

Juhi Chawla was simply dressed in white and pink.

Singer Suchitra Krishnamoorthi, who wrote on Twitter: "We will miss you so so very much," for the late composer, arrived with her daughter Kaveri.

Rakht actress Neha Dhupia was clearly in a hurry.

Actress Ayesha Jhulka made a rare appearance.

Jodhaa Akbar actress Poonam Sinha came to pay her last respects.

Actress-singer Ila Arun attended the prayer meet dressed in white and gold.

Mr Shrivastava is survived by his wife Vijeta Pandit and sons Anivesh and Avitesh. Vijeta's brothers, composer duo Jatin-Lalit, too were captured in a family photograph.

The Bollywood veterans at the prayer meet included Jeetendra.

Actor Jackie Shroff had worked with the musician way back in the 1995 movie Ram Shashtra.

Jaaved Jaffrey wore a white head wrap at the venue.

Actor Chunky Pandey was photographed outside the temple.

Khel Khel Mein singer Shaan, who worked with Mr Shrivastava in the movie Stand By, was spotted too.

Teri Deewani singer Kailash Kher was patient with the paparazzi.

Music composer Pritam, who wrote about sharing "amazing musical moments" with Aadesh Shrivastava, also attended the prayer meet.

Taare Zameen Par singer Shankar Mahadevan was also spotted at the meet.

Singer Udit Narayan, who worked with Mr Shrivastava in films like Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and Uljhan was present.

Singer-composer Anu Malik was photographed with Welcome Back director Anees Bazmee.

Singer Mika Singh was also present.

Bandit Queen director Shekhar Kapur attended the ceremony.

Lyricist and script writer Prasoon Joshi arrived dressed in black.

Among the mourners was singer Sudesh Bhosle, who sang Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham song Shava Shava, one of Mr Shrivastava's biggest hits.

Khiladi director duo Abbas-Mustan arrived with their brother, film editor Hussain Burmawalla.

Grand Masti director Indra Kumar was also among the filmmakers who attended the ceremony.

Rishi Kapoor's filmmaker brother Rajiv Kapoor was photographed as well.

Director Govind Nihalani, who had worked with the late music composer in his movie Dev, arrived to pay respects.

Television personality Shekhar Suman was photographed as well.
