STING Energy has joined hands with electronic music producer Alan Walker and Formula 1 to launch “The Sting Within Me,” bringing together the worlds of Formula 1, electronic music and fan culture. Facilitated and curated by Warner Music India, the track made its live debut during the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix weekend before thousands of fans. Designed to capture the adrenaline, speed and emotion of a Formula 1 race weekend, The Sting Within Me transforms authentic Formula 1 engine sounds into a contemporary electronic anthem aimed at a new generation of global fans.
The collaboration traces its origins to a viral internet trend popularized by legendary DJ Armin van Buuren, who pointed out that the roar of a Formula 1 engine resembles the sound of “stinggg.”
Building on that concept, an avid motorsport enthusiast Alan Walker, worked closely with STING Energy and Formula 1 to access a rich audio archive of real engine sounds and track recordings from circuits across the globe. Walker then combined these authentic racing sounds with his signature cinematic production style while also drawing creative inspiration from discussions with Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team driver George Russell.

“Formula 1 already sounds electronic to me. The engines have rhythm, the build-up, the atmosphere, the tension—everything has a rhythm. Once I heard the ‘STING' connection, it was impossible to ignore. I wanted the track to hit with the same pressure as a race start. Going live with it in Barcelona made it even more surreal because you could feel that emotion among fans in real time."
