- He emphasises cleanliness and offering food to God before eating it as a spiritual practice
For years, bodybuilding and high-protein diets have been linked with chicken, eggs and meat-heavy meals. But social media is now full of fitness creators proving that strength and muscle-building do not always need animal-based food. One such creator currently grabbing attention online is Tamal Krishna Kripa Das.
The professional bodybuilder and follower of Sanatana Dharma shared a video on Instagram showing what he eats for breakfast as a “pure vegetarian bodybuilder.” Born in Israel, Tamal moved to India in 2009 and now lives in Mayapur. His content often mixes fitness with spirituality, and this breakfast video has struck a chord with many viewers online.
In the clip, Tamal begins by talking about cleanliness before food preparation. “Everything must be cleaned first,” he says, explaining how fruits and ingredients should be washed properly because they carry dust and bacteria from outside.
His breakfast itself is simple but colourful and nutrient-rich. The meal includes:
- Mango
- Orange
- Papaya
- Dragon fruit
- Set yogurt
- Pistachios
He carefully cuts and arranges everything before eating. But according to him, the food itself is not the main focus. Tamal explains that he first offers the meal to God before consuming it himself.
“The most important thing is that you should offer the food before you're eating it yourself to the Lord,” he says in the video. He adds that this practice turns the food into “prashad” and helps a person stay fit physically, mentally and spiritually.
Needless to say, Indians wasted no time in showering Tamal Krishna Kripa Das with praise.
A user wrote, “You really have a spiritual aura.”
Another one added, “So heartened to see your connection to sanatani spirituality.”
“You're doing great, keep it up. Inspire others like this, and you're always welcome to our beloved India,” read a comment.
Someone asked, “Do you cook all your food yourself?” To this, the bodybuilder replied, “Yes, of course, every day.”
A person said, “Lord Krishna will definitely be happy and will bless you.”
For many people online, Tamal Krishna Kripa Das' video was a reminder that fitness does not always have to be extreme – sometimes, simple food, consistency and mindful habits can say a lot.
