Cash-filled sacks worth lakhs have been found at the house of a woman in Karnataka who spent all of her life begging. But the money is of no use to her anymore. She died yesterday due to an age-related illness.

Sixty-eight-year-old Hoor was found dead at her home in Mandya. When locals inspected her home, they found thousands of coins and currency notes in denominations of Rs 10, Rs 20 and Rs 50 stuffed inside more than 30 sacks.

A video showed locals rummaging through her belongings and counting the money.

Hoor used to live in the rented house with her sister, who died two years ago. Neither of them was married.

After counting, the total sum stood at Rs 8,40,000. The money was handed over to her brothers. One of the brothers took Rs 6 lakh while the other got Rs 2,40,000, which he then donated to a mosque.
