Here is what he said:
- The adivasis of this area, which has the blessing of Mother Danteshwari, have taught the world how to live.
- I was scheduled to take part in a programme in Raipur also, but a storm destroyed the venue.
- Many were injured. I wish all the injured speedy recovery.
- This is probably the first time in Bastar's history that projects worth Rs 24,000 crore have been signed in just one hour.
- I can imagine what this will do for the development of Bastar.
- People know that employment is of prime importance. They can build a house, educate their children, etc, only if they are employed.
- Wherever one goes, people will say, "Do anything but ensure that our children get jobs."
- No parent wants their child to go far only to live in slums in cities.
- That's why it is the government's responsibility to bring development to everyone.
- The Bastar region has had coal. It has also had people, as it has had governments. And, it has also had unemployment.
- India should get rail connectivity all across.
- Jan Dhan Yojana is a way to empower each individual and bring him at par with the country's mainstream.
- The fruits of development must reach the poorest of the poor.
- Jobs for the youth are at the core of our policies.
- At present, you send iron out and get steel from outside. This has to stop.
- We will make steel from the iron ore here.
- Do not get disappointed. Even Naxal activities will be fought.
- I am sure that humanity exists in people who indulge in such activities and they will change.
- There is no future in violence. If there is a future, it is in peace.
- It is a plough on the shoulders that can bring development, not guns.
- Skill development is critical to ensuring employment.
- Even developed and happy nations of the world are laying emphasis on skill development.

- Very often, more than one's own experiences the experiences of others can shape a person.
- I never calculate how many hours I work because the moment one does that it is not so enjoyable.
- One has to remain focused on work, and only after it is done can we feel relaxed.
- One can never get tired while working. What tires a person is not being able to work. The more one works its better.
- When we live for our own people, one cannot get tired. The people of India are my own. Won't I feel happy to work for them?
- We need to learn from failures. Only then does success become possible.
- My life has been this way. I keep coming across success and failure. I keep learning from my failures and never give up on my attempts to succeed.
- I don't think life should be judged through the prism of success or failure. When we do that, disappointment sets in.
- Failure is the natural consequence of trying. It means delay and not defeat.
- Does any of you have dreams to become successful in sports?
- Or, does each one of you want to study and become babus?
- Don't dream of 'becoming' doctors or engineers. Dream of working as doctors or engineers.
