Bhumi Pednekar had a different kind of red-carpet moment in Mumbai recently. The actor was in the middle of a photo-op with the paparazzi when she noticed that the National Anthem was being played inside the event venue. She immediately paused the interaction and chose to stand aside until it was over.
Bhumi had just walked towards the photographers and was getting ready to pose when she heard Jana Gana Mana. Rather than continuing with the pictures, she asked the paparazzi to stop for a moment. “Ek second, National Anthem," said the actress.
She then stepped away from the photo-op and stood respectfully as the anthem played. Once it ended, Bhumi returned to the red carpet and resumed posing for the cameras.
A video of the moment has now surfaced on Instagram and has caught the attention of social media users. Many praised the actor for stopping what she was doing and giving the National Anthem her full attention.

Directed by Amrit Raj Gupta, the project featured Bhumi Pednekar as DCP Rita Ferreira, Aditya Rawal as Sajid, Samara Tijori as Anita Acharya, Geeta Agrawal Sharma as Indu Mhatre, Chinmay Mandlekar as Vikram Sathe and Sandeep Kulkarni as Prabhat Raut. Ananth Mahadevan, Sandesh Kulkarni, Saurabh Goyal, Vibhavari Deshpande and Vijay Krishna were also part of the project. The show was released on Prime Video in January this year.
