As Anees Bazmee's Welcome clocked 15 years on Wednesday, Anil Kapoor shared a special tweet. The 65-year old actor referring to his iconic character Majnu Bhai from the 2007 film, wrote about picking up a paintbrush for the first time and the "rest is history." In Welcome, Anil Kapoor played the role of a gangster named Majnu Bhai, who also aspires to be a painter. However, his artworks tells a different story altogether (IYKYK). Anil Kapoor's tweet read: "15 years ago Majnu bhai picked up the paintbrush and the rest is history! Welcome was, is and always will be one of my most cherished films for the sheer joy it has brought people."

In a separate tweet, Anil Kapoor thanked the film's cast and its makers. The actor tweeted: "Thanks for giving Welcome and Majnu Bhai so much love." He also acknowledged Anees Bazmee, Nana Pathekar, Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Paresh Rawal, Mallika Sherawat and Firoz Nadiadwala in his tweet.
