British heartthrob ColinFirth received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame today.The actor who is tipped to get an Oscar nod for histurn as the stammering monarch George VI in The King'sSpeech, was awarded the Walk of Fame's 2,429th star today onHollywood Boulevard, reported Los Angeles Times online.
After receiving his star, the 50-year-old actor, paidtribute to his wife Livia in an emotional speech.
"I want to thank everybody who has accompanied me onthis extraordinary journey, but probably more than anybody Icould ever imagine Livia who has walked every step of thiswith me joyfully and truthfully. When I look down there atthat star, it's her name I see," he said.
The couple have two sons together and the actor alsohas a son from a previous relationship with actress Meg Tilly.His star is situated right next to fellow British starEmma Thompson's, appropriately outside the British style Pig'N Whistle pub.
Firth is in Los Angeles for Sunday's Golden GlobeAwards, where he's up for the Best Actor in a Motion PictureDrama Award for King's Speech.
