About Sirsa

In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Charanjeet Singh Rori was elected from the Sirsa constituency in Haryana on an Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) ticket. He won with 5,06,370 votes defeating Dr Ashok Tanwar of the Indian National Congress by a margin of 1,15,736 votes.
 
In 2009 elections, Dr Ashok Tanwar of the Indian National Congress won the constituency by securing 4,15,584 votes (42.35 per cent of the total votes polled in the constituency) , defeating Dr Sita Ram of the Indian National Lok Dal who received 3,80,085 votes (38.74 per cent).
 
There are nine assembly seats under the Sirsa constituency: Narwana, Tohana, Fatehabad, Ratia, Kalanwali, Dabwali, Rania, Sirsa and Ellenabad.

For the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Sunita Duggal from the Bharatiya Janata Party is contesting against Dr Ashok Tanwar (Indian National Congress) and Charanjeet Singh Rori (Indian National Lok Dal) for the Sirsa constituency. The Bahujan Samaj Party has fielded Janak Raj Atwal.
