About Faridabad

In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Krishan Pal of the Bharatiya Janata Party was elected from the Faridabad constituency in Haryana. He won with 6,52,516 votes, defeating Avtar Singh Bhadana of the Indian National Congress by a margin of 4,66,873 votes.

In the 2009 general elections, Avtar Singh Bhadana of the Congress won the Faridabad constituency. He secured 2,57,864 votes (41.26 per cent of the total votes polled in the constituency) , defeating Ram Chander Bainda of the Bharatiya Janata Party who received 1,89,663 votes (30.35 per cent).

There are nine assembly seats under the Faridabad constituency: Hathin, Hodal, Palwal, Prithla, Faridabad NIT, Badkhal, Ballabgarh, Faridabad and Tigaon.

Voting for the Faridabad constituency was conducted in the sixth phase of general elections 2019 on May 12.

For the 2019 general elections, Krishan Pal of the Bharatiya Janata Party is contesting against Avtar Singh Bhadana of the Indian National Congress. The Bahujan Samaj Party has fielded Mandhir Maan and Mahender Singh Chauhan is contesting on an Indian National Lok Dal ticket.
