According to the official update, a total of 11.23 lakh candidates registered for the exam, which was held across 566 centres in 318 cities, including locations in India and abroad. The examination was conducted in 10 sessions over 6 days, ensuring smooth operations at a large scale. The provisional answer key is expected to be published on April 11, 2026 (tentative). Alongside this, candidates will be able to access their response sheets and raise objections by paying a fee of Rs 200 per question.
The final stage, including the result declaration for Paper 1, is tentatively scheduled for April 20, 2026. The NTA confirmed that the best score from the two sessions will be considered while preparing the final rankings, with normalised scoring applied.
