New Delhi: In 2000, the country was in for a treat in the form of Kaun Banega Crorepati. Evenings became more interesting with the charismatic personality of Amitabh Bachchan sitting behind a computer screen and firing general knowledge questions. KBC was one show that everyone liked to watch. The show recently concluded its 9th season. The show also introduced a separate format for children, KBC Junior in 2001. The top prize winner for KBC Junior was Ravi Mohan Saini who answered 15 questions correctly to win the prize amount of 1 crore on the show.

But it is not just his KBC Junior win which makes him special and an inspiration to all. Ravi Mohan Saini also cleared UPSC Civil Services and became an IPS. He is now posted in Gujarat.

In 2001, he was in class 10 when he won one crore rupee in Kaun Banega Crorepati Junior. It happened to be the only season of KBC Junior.

In one of his interviews, Ravi Mohan Saini recalled that it was his desire to meet Amitabh Bachchan which prompted him to try his luck at the show.

Ravi Mohan Saini's success in the civil services exam is one that of perseverance. When he was studying in MBBS, his friends would often tell him to try his luck in the UPSC exams. He appeared in the exam for the first time in 2012 and was successful in clearing the Preliminary exam and the Main exam but could not get through.

He appeared again in 2013 and was selected for Indian Post and telecom, accounts and finance services and underwent eight months training. In 2014, he appeared in the exam again and qualified for the Indian Police Services (IPS) with an All-India Rank of 461.
