Dharmendra Pradhan: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has assured students and parents that the technical issues in the CBSE On-Screen Marking (OSM) portal will be resolved soon. In an exclusive interview with NDTV, the minister said CBSE introduced the online marking system this year as part of major examination reforms. Earlier, the evaluation process was conducted manually, but this time the board shifted to online marking to improve transparency and efficiency.

Pradhan said around 2 to 2.5 lakh students usually apply for re-evaluation every year, but this time the number has increased to nearly 4 lakh. Due to the sudden rise in traffic, the portal faced technical problems for two to three days, causing inconvenience to students.

The minister assured that the issues are now being fixed by the IT team and the portal is expected to function smoothly within the next one or two days. He also mentioned that he personally reviewed the readiness of the portal before its launch.

Addressing students and parents, Pradhan said the government is aware that major examination results, including CUET and JEE, are awaited. Therefore, officials have been instructed to synchronise all related processes carefully to avoid confusion among students.
