The Delhi Traffic Police on Thursday issued a traffic advisory after a temporary closure or restriction was imposed on the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway. In a post on X at around noon on August 20, the traffic police advised commuters approaching the expressway from the Vikas Marg and Akshardham sides to take alternate routes for some time.
The advisory was issued to prevent inconvenience to commuters and avoid further traffic congestion in the area.
"Due to temporary closure/restriction on the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway, commuters approaching the expressway from Vikas Marg and Akshardham side are advised to use alternate routes for some time," the Delhi Traffic Police said.

The Delhi-Dehradun Expressway is an important route connecting the national capital with western Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Any restriction on the stretch can affect traffic movement on connecting roads, particularly during busy hours.
Commuters travelling towards the expressway from Vikas Marg and Akshardham have therefore been advised to check traffic conditions and allow extra time for their journeys.
