At CES 2026, Verge Motorcycles unveiled the updated TS Pro, a production-ready electric bike set to become the world's first equipped with all-solid-state battery technology. Unlike rivals still showcasing concepts, Verge is moving directly to production, aiming to gain a lead over mainstream manufacturers chasing similar breakthroughs. The Finnish brand, already known for its striking hubless in-wheel motor design, has collaborated with Donut Lab to bring this advancement to market. The TS Pro will roll out to select global regions in the coming months, marking a milestone in electric motorcycle innovation.

Solid-state technology takes centre stage in the TS Pro story. Instead of the liquid or gel electrolytes found in conventional lithium-ion and LFP batteries, Verge's pack relies on a solid medium, a design touted to dramatically cut fire risks during accidents. This breakthrough has been in laboratories for years, often described as the "next frontier" in energy storage. Only now is it edging toward real-world readiness, yet mainstream automakers remain cautious. By integrating it directly into a production motorcycle, Verge positions itself as a pioneer in bringing this advanced chemistry to everyday riders.

Verge has equipped the TS Pro with CCS2 fast-charging, enabling ultra-rapid replenishment when paired with a suitably powerful charger. The company claims an 80 percent charge can be achieved in just 10 minutes, underscoring the bike's focus on convenience. Buyers can choose between two battery packs: a 20.2kWh unit offering up to 350km of range, or a larger 33.3kWh pack capable of extending to 600km. Beyond the headline-grabbing battery tech, the motorcycle also showcases Verge's distinctive hubless motor, now introduced in a fresh iteration that elevates both design and performance.

At the heart of the TS Pro is Verge's distinctive hubless drive system. Electromagnets positioned inside the wheel interact with permanent magnets on the rim, generating rotation without a conventional axle. The setup produces an impressive 102kW (138.6hp), but the headline figure is its immense 1,000Nm of torque. That sheer pulling power enables the motorcycle to sprint from 0 to 100kph in a claimed 3.5 seconds, rivaling high-performance naked bikes. Despite its blistering acceleration, the machine tips the scales at 235kg, making it a heavyweight in the electric motorcycle segment.
