BMW Motorrad plans to replace the G 310 platform with the new F 450 twin-cylinder platform. The first model based on this platform will be the BMW F 450 GS, followed by the F 450 RR and F 450 R, among other models in the family. While enthusiasts await these models, the first spy shots of what seems to be the middle-weight sports bike, the F 450 RR, have been spied testing on public roads.
The heavily camouflaged test mule hides most of the details, leaving room for speculation. For instance, the test mule spied can be the TVS Motor Company's version of the sports bike based on the F 450 platform, the TVS Apache RR 450. How? Well, the new platform's predecessor was developed under a collaboration between the German and the Indian brand and was used to spawn models wearing their respective badges.

TVS Motor showcased the Tangent RR motorcycle concept at the 2025 EICMA Show in Milan, Italy. A production model based on TVS-BMW's new 450cc platform is expected to be in development. This motorcycle will feature a monocoque subframe, a design choice that is uncommon in the sub-middle-weight segment.

The headlight appears to be vertically aligned, possibly featuring two chambers for both low and high beams. The TVS Tangent RR concept displayed a traditional split eye-like headlight design and also featured a dual disc brake setup at the front, both of which were absent on this test mule. This specific test mule could potentially be the BMW F 450 RR. BMW Motorrad is recognized for considering unconventional and asymmetrical headlight designs.
