Toyota Kirloskar Motor has launched its first all-electric car, Urban Cruiser Ebella, in the Indian market at a price of Rs 23.60 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-spec E3 variant. Sharing its underpinnings with the Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara, the EV represents the brand in the mid-size electric SUV market. It will compete against models like the Hyundai Creta Electric, MG ZS EV, and Tata Curvv EV in the Indian market.
The Urban Cruiser Ebella features a shape akin to the e Vitara but incorporates Toyota's design elements. Initially, it showcases a distinctive front design that aligns with the brand's international market aesthetics. It boasts a sculpted bonnet that adds a muscular appeal, alongside character lines running down the sides. This is further enhanced by the aerodynamic design of the alloy wheels. The vehicle has a wheelbase of 2700 mm and measures 4,285 mm in length, approximately 1,800 mm in width, and nearly 1,640 mm in height.

The design of this electric SUV is accentuated by color options such as Cafe White, Bluish Black, Gaming Grey, Sportin Red, and Enticing Silver. The dual-tone choices include Cafe White, Land Breeze Green, Sportin Red, and Enticing Silver, all paired with a black roof.

Inside, the new electric vehicle features dual-tone interiors in black and brown shades. The dashboard design is reminiscent of that found in the Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara. Furthermore, the Urban Cruiser Ebella is loaded with modern electric car features like a panoramic sunroof, a 10.1-inch infotainment display, ventilated seats, a wireless charging pad, a JBL sound system, ambient lighting, a dial-type gear shift knob, an air purifier, climate control, and additional amenities. In terms of safety, the vehicle includes 7 airbags, a 360-degree camera, and Level 2 ADAS.
Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella comes with a 61 kWh battery pack and offers a 171 hp of power and 193 Nm of peak torque in the top-spec E3 variant. This iteration of the vehicle is claimed to offer a range of 543 km on a single charge
